I was doing some research about Brain-Based-Learning for my Wiki homework. I found an article that is related to Brain-Base-Learning that is Action Based Learning. Action Base Learning is to put learning into action with their teacher friendly, "kid tested, kid approved" strategic that move students to learn. Most of time, kids learned best after physical activity which mean "You have more energy, you're more motivated, you're ready to learn, so exercise is what gets you ready to learn."(Madigan) I think is true because I think that how I learned best when I was a kid. Check out this article….

U-Blog5

I was going to through my delicious account and I was looking for an article that I can save in my bookmarks for my homework which it has to relate to my class work reading. I found this one article that really interesting me which is the “Enabling Learning in Classroom: A Primary Mental Health Concern”. After reading the article, I found out that most of the students are not doing well in school because of the lack of teachers or a lack of a families that didn’t have a proper education. From my point of view, I agreed with the article because I have the same problem that I went through in my childhood. English is a second language I have to learn and it’s very difficult language. It takes a lot of time of learning it and understanding concept of the language. I have to do everything by myself such as doing homework without no help. I have to start from scratch of learning the languages, which I know how it feels like the seniors at the Lowman Home that they have to go through of learning these new technologies. Check out this article and I hope this will help some of you.

After experience at Heritage Lowman Home training session last week on 2/25/2009, I had a lot of fun working with the adult learners. The training session is about creating an email account and showing the adult learners the steps of using their email. When working with the adult learners, I notice that they were dedicated and determined. I was very impressed that the adult learners learn these materials so fast. At the end of the training session, I gave my email address to one of the adult learner in case if she has any questions about computer. Once again, this experience was fun and I can't wait to go back there again.

U-Blog 2

When I was looking at the assignment 3.5 for online class, it was very difficult decisions to make whether I should do the ICare workshop or the Heritage at Lowman Home workshop. I came to my final decision; I rather do the Lowman Home workshop because I wanted to teach the seniors to learn how to work with computers.  I am really excited to work with the senior and I can't wait to teach them everything I know about computers.

U-Blog 1

Taking online classes for TSTM 444 has made it possible for me to manage my time wisely. During these 2 weeks, I was able to take advantage of the spare time. I was able to complete my module assignment on time. Reading all the articles from my bookmarks on delicious website helped me notice the different varieties of training. So far I have learned a lot of techniques of training and self taught especially the E-learning from my delicious homepage. The most difficult thing I’ve experienced when taking online class is trying to understand the textbook. I’m used to the typical lectures in class and hands on experience. But E-learning will challenge me to work and try harder even more.
